Your Library Account

Sign in to your library account to:

  • Access subscribed resources, such as Ebsco or ProQuest databases
  • Add titles to your e-shelf
  • Place holds on items out on loan, or check current holds
  • View or renew your loans, and access saved searches

You can sign into your Library Account from the link in the top right corner of the Library website and Library catalogue

This will either take you to your usual student login screen if haven't already logged in, or seamlessly direct you to your account if you logged in earlier.

Managing Loans and Requests

It is your responsibility to return items by the due date.

Sign in at https://lesa.on.worldcat.org/myaccount and select My Library Account to check due dates of your loans, view fines, place and cancel requests.

Borrowing Limits

To borrow items from a library branch you need to use your student ID card.

Loans

  • Students
    • 5 items at a time
    • loan length 7 days
    • After 7 days you will receive an email asking you to return or renew the item.
    • Loans can be renewed several times for a maximum of 28 days
  • Staff
    • 5 items at a time
    • 4 weeks
    • teacher reference copies should be acquired through the publishers' "Instructor Copy" services and should be arranged by the program manager.
  • Online students 
  • Books that are not available as ebooks can be sent via our Postal service
  • To borrow, complete the book loan request form
    • 5 items at a time
    • loan length 14 days
    • Loans can be renewed once
  • You are responsible for:
    • fees associated with returning a book through the post to the Library
    • returning the book to the library. The return address can be found on the campus information page for your library.
    • You are responsible for renewing books on time, even if for any reason you have not received a reminder.

Note: We do not post books outside of Australia.

Renew

You can renew your loans during the 28 day loan period so long as no one has placed a hold on the item.

  • Renew online, in person, by chat or by phone
  • For renewals after the 28 day loan period, please bring the books to the library.
  • Check your emails for information about your loans. You will receive an email a few days before the end of your loan period.
  • You can also check your current loans, due dates, requests and fines in My (Library) Account.

Subject guides are the easiest way to find relevant resources for your study area.

These pages include helpful resources that you may not find by searching in the main catalogue.

Workshops and training

Attending tailored training sessions in a range of skills will rapidly increase your learning independence.  

  • Sessions scheduled each trimester - keep an eye out in Blackboard and your local campus library page for times and topics
