What is academic misconduct?

Academic misconduct takes place when students act dishonestly in an assessment task or examination in order to gain an unfair advantage for themselves or other students. 

In other words academic misconduct occurs when the values of academic integrity are not observed.

Academic misconduct occurs when a student fails to meet Torrens University's expectations of Academic Integrity.

Different types of academic misconduct include plagiarism, collusion and cheating.

Academic misconduct can have serious consequences for your grades and in severe cases may result in exclusion or expulsion from your course.
