Referencing Artificial Intelligence
Guidelines
- Ask your learning facilitator if you are permitted to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in your assessment.
- Responses/images/movies/code from artificial intelligence content producers should be added as an appendix and noted as part of the in-text citation as shown in the table below
- For further information on using Artificial Intelligence tools, refer to the Academic Integrity Policy

Guidelines
- Ask your learning facilitator if you are permitted to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in your assessment.
-There is currently no official standard for citing images generated by artificial intelligence in APA 7. If you wish to include an AI generated image in your assessment, it is advised that a caption is included for the image and a transcript for the prompt should be included in an appendix.
Caption Requirements
-The word Fig. and a number (from 1, in numerical order), both in bold font at the top.
- A title or brief description of the figure in italics. Include an in-text citation with author, year, and page number.
-A note should be included to identify the type of AI tool that has been used to create the image and an appendix number should be included so the transcript of the prompt can be located.
