Canon 6D Mark II Setup Guide

Introduction

The Canon EOS 6D Mark II is an intermediate-level full-frame DSLR camera with a 26.2-megapixel sensor.

This guide assumes the camera is in manual mode. To enter manual mode, press the mode lock button on the mode dial and turn to M. Ensure the camera is set to photo mode.

Format Card

White Balance

  • Press the MENU button.
  • Select the Shoot 2 tab.
  • Select White Balance.
  • Select AWB (Auto White Balance).

Shutter Speed

  • Use the front dial to adjust the shutter speed.

ISO

  • Press the ISO button located on the top of the camera.
  • Use the front dial to adjust ISO to Auto.
  • Press the ISO button again to confirm.

Image Quality

  • Press the MENU button.
  • Select the Shoot 1 tab.
  • Select Image Quality.
  • Select RAW and Large JPEG.

Aperture

  • Use the rear dial to adjust the aperture.

Metering Modes

  • Press the Metering Mode button (second from right, above the top screen).
  • Select the Evaluative Metering option.
  • Press SET to confirm.

Focus Mode and Area

  • Press the AF Area Selection button (between the shutter button and top dial).
  • Select the Auto Selection AF option.
  • Press SET to confirm.

Format Card

  • Press the MENU button.
  • Select the Set Up 1 tab.
  • Select Format Card.
  • Select OK to confirm.
