Canon 550D Video Setup Guide
Introduction
The Canon 550D can shoot up to 1080p at 25fps. Select movie mode from the mode dial, then press the live-view button. All instructions below assume you are in movie mode.

White Balance
- Press the Q button.
- Select the top-most icon.
- Use the front dial to rotate through the white balance presets.
- Select AWB (Auto White Balance).
Shutter Speed
- Use the front dial to adjust the shutter speed.
ISO
- Press the ISO button located on the top of the camera.
- Use the front dial to adjust ISO to Auto.
Movie Exposure
- Press the MENU button.
- Select the Movie 2 tab.
- Select Movie Exposure.
- Select Manual.
Aperture
- Hold down the Av button.
- Use the front dial to adjust the aperture.
Audio Recording
- Press the MENU button.
- Select the Movie 2 tab.
- Select Sound Recording.
- Ensure Sound Recording is set to On.
Focus Point
- Use the arrow keys to select the focus point, indicated by the white rectangle on the screen.
Resolution
- Press the MENU button.
- Select the Movie 1 tab.
- Select Movie Rec. Size.
- Select 1920x1080 25 for Full HD at 25fps.
