Sony A7R III Setup Guide
Introduction
The Sony A7R Mark III features a 42.4MP full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor with an enhanced processing system. It supports a standard ISO range of 100-32000, expandable up to 102400, and offers a Fast Hybrid AF system with 399-point phase-detection and 425-point contrast-detection AF.

White Balance
- Press the MENU button.
- Select Camera 1 tab, then Color/WB/Img.Processing menu.
- Select White Balance -> AWB or desired option and confirm.
ISO
- Press the MENU button.
- Select Camera 1 tab, then Exposure 1 tab.
- Press the ISO button.
- Select OK to confirm.
Image Quality
- Press the MENU button.
- Select Camera 1 tab, then Quality/Image Size 1 menu.
- Select File Format -> RAW & JPEG and confirm.
Aperture
- Set the mode dial to A to select aperture priority mode.
- Use the front dial to select the desired aperture.
Metering
- Press the MENU button.
- Navigate to the Camera 1 then Exposure1 menu.
- Select Metering Mode -> Multi or Spot: Standard to prioritize the center region.
Focus
- Press the MENU button.
- Select Camera 1 tab, then AF1 tab.
- Select Focus Mode -> Single Shot AF.
Format Card
- Press the MENU button.
- Select Setup 5 menu.
- Select Format, choose the slot, and confirm.
Exposure Comp
- Turn the exposure compensation dial right-most top dial.
- Adjust the value next to the indicator to the number of stops of compensation desired.
- This value modifies the target exposure for the automated settings.
