Nikon Z6 Mirrorless – Video Setup Guide
Introduction
The Nikon Z6 is the company's midrange full-frame mirrorless camera. It features a 24.5MP BSI-CMOS sensor, a hybrid AF system with 273 points and 90% coverage, and 5-axis in-body image stabilization. The rugged body design is similar to the D750/D850 DSLRs and is fully sealed against dust and moisture. It uses a single XQD card slot.

- Select MENU.
- Select the Movie shooting mode.
- Select White balance and choose your preferred colour temperature.
Video Resolution
- Move the Display switch from photo to movie mode.
- Select MENU.
- Select the Movie shooting mode.
- Select Frame size/frame rate.
- Choose your preferred shooting resolution.
ISO Sensitivity
- Select MENU.
- Select the Movie shooting mode.
- Select ISO sensitivity settings.
- Set maximum sensitivity and choose options for Auto ISO control and ISO sensitivity.
Mic Levels
- Select MENU.
- Select the Movie shooting mode.
- Select Microphone sensitivity and choose between Auto or Manual.
- Monitor the meter located at the bottom of the menu.
Focus Mode
- Select MENU.
- Select the Movie shooting mode.
- Select Focus mode and choose between AF-S (Single AF), AF-C (Continuous AF), AF-F (Full-time AF), or MF (Manual Focus).
Frame Rate
- Move the Display switch from photo to movie mode.
- Select MENU.
- Select the Movie shooting mode.
- Select Frame size/frame rate.
- Choose your preferred shooting frame rate.
Format Memory
- Select MENU.
- Select the Spanner tab.
- Select Format memory card and press YES to confirm.
File Type
- Select MENU.
- Select the Movie shooting mode.
- Select Movie file type and choose between MOV and MP4.
