Blackmagic 4K Setup Guide

Introduction

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, featuring a 4/3 image sensor with 4096 x 2160 resolution and an MFT lens mount.

Format SD Card

Recd Menu 1

  • Press the MENU button.
  • Select Blackmagic Raw.
  • Select Constant Quality.
  • Select Q5.
  • Select 4K DCI.

Recd Menu 2

  • Select Film.
  • Select Project frame rate 25fps.
  • Select SD Card.

Monitor

  • Press the MENU button.
  • Select LCD.
  • Select Focus assist ON.
  • Select False Colour.

Audio

  • Press the MENU button.
  • Select Channel 1 Source and choose Camera Left or desired option.
  • Select Channel 2 Source and choose Camera Right or desired option.
  • Select Channel Level and set to 12dB for both Left and Right.

Setup

  • Press the MENU button.
  • Select Shutter Speed.
  • Select Flicker Free Shutter Base on 50Hz.

WB/Colour Temp

  • Select the top right button WB.
  • Use the LCD touchscreen to tap the desired option.

ISO

  • Select the top right button ISO.
  • Select ISO 100.
  • Note the ISO resets at ISO 1250.

Format SD Card

  • Press the MENU button and tap the SD card indicator at the bottom of the LCD touchscreen.
  • Select Format SD Card.
  • Select OSX Extended or exFAT.
  • Select Format SD Card by holding the button for 3 seconds.
