Canon 6D Mark II Video Setup Guide
Introduction
The Canon 6D Mark II can capture up to 1080p60 video. It has a flip-out screen and a microphone jack. However, it does not have a headphone monitoring port.
Change to video mode using the ring around the Start/Stop button. Use the Start/Stop button to begin and end recording.

White Balance
- Press the MENU button.
- Select the Shoot 2 tab.
- Select White Balance.
- Select AWB (Auto White Balance).
Shutter Speed
- Use the front dial to adjust the shutter speed.
ISO
- Press the ISO button located on the top of the camera.
- Use the front dial to adjust the ISO to Auto.
- Press the ISO button again to confirm.
Movie Exposure
- Press the mode lock button and turn the dial to M mode.
- This will place the camera in manual exposure video mode.
Aperture
- Use the rear dial to adjust the aperture.
Audio Recording
- Press the MENU button.
- Select the Shoot 1 tab.
- Select Sound Recording.
- Select Sound Rec. -> Manual.
- Select Rec. Level and adjust using the rear control dial to set the level so that your sound is peaking around –12dB on the meter displayed.
Focus Point
- Use the touch screen to select the focus point as indicated by the white rectangle on the screen.
Resolution
- Press the MENU button.
- Select the Shoot 1 tab.
- Select Movie Rec. Size.
- Select FHD 25.
