Nikon Z6 Setup Guide
Introduction
The Nikon Z6 is a midrange full-frame mirrorless camera. It features a 24.5MP BSI-CMOS sensor, a hybrid AF system with 273 points and 90% coverage, and 5-axis in-body image stabilization.

Focusing Modes
- Select MENU.
- Turn the dial to select Photo shooting mode.
- Turn the dial to select Focus mode.
- Choose between AF-S, AF-C, and MF.
ISO Auto
- Select the Command dial and rotate while holding the ISO button.
- For high settings, press MENU, scroll to the photo shooting menu, and select High ISO NR.
Shutter Speed
- Rotate the Command dial (right for faster, left for slower).
- You can view these changes on the top screen.
Image Quality (RAW & JPEG)
- Press MENU.
- Select the Photo shooting menu tab.
- Turn the dial to select Image Quality.
- Select the desired type (JPEG/RAW) of image quality.
Mode Dial (Aperture Priority)
- Set the Mode Dial to AV.
- Press the Lock release button.
- Turn the Mode Dial to your desired setting.
Metering Modes
- Select MENU.
- Turn the dial to select Photo shooting mode.
- Turn the dial to select Metering.
- Select your desired metering mode.
AF Area
- Select MENU.
- Turn the dial to select Photo shooting mode.
- Turn the dial to select AF area.
- Choose between Pinpoint, Single Point, Wide Area AF(S), Wide Area AF(L), and Auto-Area AF.
Format Card
- Press the MENU button.
- Select the Spanner tab.
- Select Format memory card then press YES.
